About Me

Hello.

My name is Ian Paul Charlton Mackenzie, born
June 1957, in Christchurch, New Zealand, apparently
on a winter's Saturday afternoon. My introduction to the
world was announced on the tannoy system at the rugby ground
where my father and grandfather were to be found. They could
do things like that then. Needless to say the names I was
christened with were of my mother's pin-up heroes
at the time (one of course my father - guess
the others!).

After a boring exercise in five years
of tedious learning at a local comprehensive I
escaped to a new Sixth Form College to study 'A' levels.
As a late entrant I had no choice and was made to do Art
and English Lit. A blessing was in the making. This college
was full of girls and was Heaven to me, but Art was
the subject I fell in love with and through the
wise teachings of the worldly lecturer, who
recognised a talent, helped me achieve
a top grade.
