The Bridge Over The Wey

Bridge over The Wey

Godalming, 2006
Acrylics on cartridge paper

I was out sourcing material on a bright May day when I saw this bridge, from a point that no-one else would see,
unless they found the hidden stile, walking the Lammas Land (a popular landmark). The deep foliage of the
background trees and the succulence of the river bank really allowed the texture, shape and colour of the bridge to
stand out, that you would otherwise miss unless standing in the spot where I painted this.
